Luka Charlie Fisher - pencil on paper 29.7 x  42cm (deceased)
Extracts of Luka’s Eulogy written by his mother
We asked Maia what she would share about her brother, "Being happy and laughing!" And said to call you "silly chickens" (a term of endearment). They chased each other, laughing, those little chickens. "I love my brother, he's an angel now."
Luka was born with a rare primary immunodeficiency disease. His courage beads (of 48 feet) represented every clinic visit, transfusion, hospitalization, surgery and a bone marrow transplant. But his gift (what a father taught his son), was to love and show love, through affectionate hugs and rubbing our backs and arms -  just like daddy does. In his  last months he battled medically and on his last day told us he wanted to "go home in daddy's car". His last act, was to point to himself and wave “bye-bye.”
